Holiday Kindergarten
We offer Holiday Kindergarten during term breaks for families enrolled in our term-time and all year kindergartens (excluding Fetu Ao, Nettie Riley, and Titiro Whakamua, as these services operate on extended all-year schedules and include provision for infants under 2).
Holiday Kindergarten locations vary each term break and are advertised at the beginning of each term. Early enrolment is essential, as spaces are limited.
Supporting our tamariki through KidsCan
We’re proud to work alongside KidsCan to help remove barriers to learning and support the wellbeing of our tamariki and whānau.
Through this partnership, Fetu Ao, Naenae, Moera, Titiro Whakamua, Taita and Koraunui Kindergartens are part of the KidsCan Early Childhood Education programme. Tamariki at these kindergartens receive food five days a week, including sandwiches, yoghurt, fruit and three cooked meals each week.
Children are also supported with essential items such as a new pair of shoes and a rain jacket, helping them stay warm, dry and ready to learn.
At Hutt City Kindergartens, we know that when tamariki are well cared for, they are more confident, settled and able to fully participate in their learning. Programmes like KidsCan help us strengthen this support and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
