The position
We are looking for a reliable and conscientious person living in the Moera area, who can work Monday – Friday, 11am – 1pm (10 hours per week).
The position requires you to prepare the food provided by KidsCan and put it onto individual plates for tamariki. There are also clean-up duties involved, including stacking and emptying the dishwasher, and keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic.
To be ideal for this role you will be:
Able to commit to working 5 days per week, for 2 hours each day
Reliable, dependable and trustworthy - the Teachers count on you to be there
Comfortable in the kitchen, and able to prepare the provided KidsCan food
Aware of the importance of kitchen hygiene and safe food preparation methods.
All the meals that are provided come with preparation instructions and are simple to make - you don’t need to be a super-confident cook!
You’ll enjoy being part of a small team, doing a job that is vital to the smooth running of the kindergarten. No previous childcare experience is necessary, but if you love kids that will help!
Duties will commence as soon as possible.
