We are pleased to announce that we will be opening a new Kindergarten at the Health Hub on Witako Street. The yet to be named Kindergarten is expected to open mid-2020.
This will be an all-year service for two to five year olds that will offer options from 7.30am to 5.30pm. This is a change from the traditional Kindergarten session which will meet the needs of many families in the Hutt Valley.
“Last year we surveyed our families to better understand what they wanted and needed from us as an early childhood education provider. It was clear that there was a significant amount of parents who needed longer session times and an all year service. This means no closure over term breaks which overcomes a barrier to attending kindergarten.” says Norma Roberts, General Manager of Professional Services at Hutt City Kindergartens.
The Kindergarten will be located in the new Health Hub building that also houses Ropata Health and is adjacent to Hutt Hospital. It is an impressive building that has been built to the highest earthquake specifications.

The other 19 Kindergartens under the Hutt City Kindergarten Association will remain at their current session times and term structure.
