Part time Teacher - Pencarrow Kindergarten

Pencarrow Kindergarten is currently a termly service and looking at becoming to an all year service.

Who are we?

Hutt City Kindergartens have been growing young learners for over 90 years in Lower Hutt, providing quality and affordable early childhood education. Our teaching teams are passionate about providing rich learning environments where children can explore, develop and have fun. We welcome people who can share in that passion.

We are a not-for-profit dedicated to making quality early childhood education accessible to all. We have 20 kindergartens throughout the Hutt Valley, including Stokes Valley, Central Hutt, Western Hill and Wainuiomata. We are proud to be an integral part of our local community and celebrate our cultural diversity and identity.

About our Kindergarten

Pencarrow Kindergarten is open to both 3 and 4 year olds. This allows family groups to come to Kindergarten at the same time. Our sessions give the younger children the chance to learn from the older ones - and the older ones have the opportunity to develop a sense of responsibility. You’ll find us in a quiet location off Wise Street, at the top of Ruthven Rd on the corner of Antrim Crescent.

​The position

We are looking for an energetic and dedicated teacher to join the team, tamariki and whānau at Pencarrow Kindergarten.

This is currently a part time position - 30.25 hours per week - 5 days a week, we expect this position to move to a full time position in 2021.

  • Minimum of Dip. Tch (ECE)
  • Full certification
  • Current First Aid certificate

We offer competitive pay rates, 6 weeks’ annual leave and paid professional time during term breaks.
