Hutt City Kindergartens have been growing young learners for over 90 years in Lower Hutt, providing quality and affordable early childhood education. Our teaching teams are passionate about providing rich learning environments where children can explore, develop and have fun. We welcome people who can share in that passion.
We are a not-for-profit dedicated to making quality early childhood education accessible to all. We have 20 kindergartens throughout the Hutt Valley, including Stokes Valley, Central Hutt, Western Hill and Wainuiomata. About Pukeatua Kindergarten
At Pukeatua Kindergarten we offer a warm, friendly and relaxed environment for children/ tamariki and families/whānau in Wainuiomata.

The position
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic teacher to join the team at Pukeatua Kindergarten. This is a fixed-term position, due to a permanent Teacher going on parental leave. Duties commence as soon as possible and finish on Friday 1st December.
Our part-time Teacher supports the team with lunch cover, Head Teacher release time and some non-contact duties. They attend the weekly team meeting and are fully involved in all kindergarten planning.
You will be working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Included in the 20 hours are 5 hours of non-contact time.

Applicants must hold a:
Minimum of Dip. Tch (ECE or Primary)
Current Practicing Certificate from the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
Current first aid certificate.
We offer competitive pay rates, 6 weeks’ annual leave and paid professional time.
